Responsible travel protects dignity, privacy, culture, animals and the places that make a journey possible. These standards guide itinerary design and supplier conversations.

Community consent and LGBTQ+ privacy
Local LGBTQ+ people and community spaces are never treated as attractions. Meetings, photographs, names and stories require freely given permission. Travellers must not out, geotag or identify another person without consent.

Animal welfare
Our proposed itineraries do not include elephant rides or staged wildlife contact. We favour observation at a respectful distance and operators that avoid coercive handling. Wildlife sightings are never guaranteed, and protected-area rules take priority.

Culture and photography
Follow site rules, dress guidance and local requests. Ask before photographing an identifiable person, ceremony, home or workplace. Religious and memorial spaces deserve particular care; a ticket does not remove the need for respect.

Local value and fair dealing
We aim to use capable local guides, drivers, accommodation and experiences where they fit the confirmed trip. Shopping stops should be agreed, prices should be transparent, and declining a purchase should be respected.

Environment and safeguarding
We plan realistic routes, discourage litter and avoid unnecessary single-use items where practical. Exploitation, harassment and abuse are not accepted. Concerns can be reported privately to info@gaytoursindia.com.
